Retro Michigan is my love letter to the Mitten—a family-owned and operated apparel business that celebrates the people, places, and traditions that make Michigan unforgettable.
Our story is rooted in the '70s, '80s, and '90s, when beach bonfires in Grand Haven, snowy strolls through Petoskey, and lively Euchre games with family were the heartbeat of our childhood. Those memories, along with countless adventures exploring quirky roadside diners, scenic U.P. trails, and the stunning Pictured Rocks, inspire every design we create. My family and I are always out discovering Michigan’s hidden gems, from beloved restaurants and dive bars to iconic Detroit landmarks, fueling new collections that capture the Mitten’s unique vibe.
